Robert Dunn

Robert Lee Dunn "Bob", age 94, went to be with his Savior on January 8, 2012. He was born on January 12, 1917, to parents Eula Bailey and Joseph Bennett "Bige" Dunn in Hackneyville, AL. He was a veteran of World War II, where he served in the Army Corps of Engineers in North Africa and India. Mr. Dunn was also a member of Trussville Masonic Lodge, Past Master of the Central Park Masonic Lodge # 808 and a member of the Zamora Shrine. He retired from Shook & Fletcher Mechanical Contractors, Birmingham, and was a member of the Plumbers and Steam Fitters Union Local # 91. Mr. Dunn was currently a member of Huffman United Methodist Church, and had previously been a member of Central Park United Methodist Church for fifty years. Mr. Dunn was loved by many and will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Nevelyn East Dunn, his parents, three sisters, and five brothers. He is survived by his sons, Larry Dunn (Diane) and Dan Dunn (Charlotte); three grandchildren, Corey Dunn, Tim Dunn (Jessica), and Melissa Dunn Tuck; sister-in-law, Gloria East Roberts, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at 12 noon with visitation starting at 11 a.m. at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home and Gardens, Trussville, AL. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. Dr. Harris Hand will be officiating over the services.
