Chafin, Robert Harrison, (August 15, 1930- November 1, 2008) Bobby (a.k.a. Blue) was a life long resident of Birmingham Alabama growing up in the Eastlake, Woodlawn and Roebuck areas. He attended Woodlawn High School in the 1940s. He worked for the Railroad until his retirement in1993. Bobby was a regular fixture at Roebuck Golf Course where he had many friends. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Patricia Armstrong Chafin of Pinson, His parents Mattie Lee Harrison Chafin and Fred Hillman Chafin of Birmingham, his brother Cornel William "Billy" Carlington Chafin of Bowling Green, Virginia, His sisters Doris Chafin Arnold and Gloria Chafin Sellers of Birmingham and Daughter-in-law Donna Ward Chafin of Birmingham. He is survived by his Brother James Hillman "Tooter" Chafin of Alabaster, Sister-in laws, Barbara Howard Chafin of Alabaster, Marline Armstrong Robinson and Brother-in-law Warren Robinson of Clay, His Children: Richard Lee Chafin and William Michael Chafin of Pinson, Robert Randall Chafin of Pelham, Jeri Chafin Perry and Teri Chafin Boyd, His son-in-law Marion Austin Boyd of Vestavia Hills and his grandchildren Lauren Chafin Bryant, Jennie Marie Chafin, Summer Lee Perry, Saxon Austin Boyd and Maddox Harrison Boyd. And Great Grandchildren Raven Leigh and Ski Paige Bryant. Services will be on Wednesday, November 5 at 12pm in the Chapel with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens Trussville. Visitation will be from 11am until 12pm Wednesday.
