Robert Borland

Robert Kenneth Borland, age 75, of Birmingham passed away on September 13, 2019. He was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church. He served in the Navy and then worked for the Army National Guard for 40 years.  He enjoyed sports cars and was a member of the Birmingham Corvette Club.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph D. Borland and Mattie Lee Borland.  He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Harris Borland; his daughter, Cindy Borland; his son, Robert Jeffrey Borland; his sister, Martha Jo Sizemore; and his grandchildren, Justin Allen and Luke Allen. Funeral service will be held on Monday September 16 at 2pm in the Chapel at Jefferson Memorial in Trussville, with Rev. Rick Camp officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
