Richard Rucks

RUCKS, RICHARD STANLEY Age 80 passed away unexpectedly on May 25, 2013 in Alabaster, AL. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Edna Rucks. He is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Teruko, his sister Jeanette Hobbs, and his children, Teresa (Barry) Brooks, Harry (Tracey) Rucks, and Robin Chambers. Richard was beloved by his eight granddaughters, four great-grandchildren, and a host of family members and friends. He was part of Woodlawn High School's class of 1950. Richard went on to graduate from Auburn University in 1954 where he studied business. While stationed in Japan, serving in the U.S. Army, Richard met his wife, Teruko. Richard was a long time member of Ruhama Baptist Church in East Lake and First Baptist Church of Alabaster. He had a long and successful career as a conveyor designer with Young & Vann Supply Co. and Vulcan Engineering Co. A visitation will be held Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. followed by a chapel service at 10 a.m. All services will take place at Jefferson Memorial East in Trussville, Alabama.
