Richard Lovell

Mr. Richard L. Lovell, age 65, of Homewood, AL, passed away on June 8, 2015. He was a Vietnam Veteran having served in the Marine Corps. He retired as a Deputy Sheriff with Jefferson County after 30 years of service. He also had a passion for Alabama Football. He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Byess; his grandchildren, Gabrielle and Richard; his sisters, Mary Frances Dunn (Jimmy), Betty Thomas (Richard), Brenda Bryant (Jimmy), Elizabeth Ann Lovell; his brothers, Kenneth Lovell and David Lovell; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 12, 2015 at 11:00am at Jefferson Memorial Trussville, with a visitation beginning at 10:00am. Interment will be at Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo at 2:00pm. The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses and staff of Birmingham East Nursing and Rehab for their love and care. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Parkinson's Foundation. Jefferson Memorial Trussville is directing.
