Richard Cosby

Richard "Dick" Lawrence Cosby, age 73, passed away on September 7th. He was loved by his large family and will be greatly missed. Dick retired from WBRC TV after 39 years of service. He was active in the broadcasting industry and served as President of the IBEW. Dick was a graduate of Shades Valley High School and attended the University of Alabama (Roll Tide). He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Shirley Cosby, 1 son, Richard Cosby, Jr, 2 daughters, Ginger Wooten and Kay Estes, 5 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. The family requests that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association in lieu of flowers. Visitation will be Monday, September 10th from 6 to 8 PM at the Jefferson Memorial Chapel in Trussville, AL. There will be a graveside service on Tuesday, September 11th at 10 AM officiated by Dr Gerald Hallmark and Greg Wooten. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
