Richard Beschi

Richard J. Beschi, age 97, of Gardendale, AL peacefully passed away on July 16, 2020. Richard was born to Vittorina Floretti and Gionvanni Beschi on August 22, 1922 in Trevisto­, Italy. Richard was a Chemist and Director of Nuclear Science at UAB. He was a member of Union Grove Methodist Church of Mount Olive. He is preceded in death by his wife, Martha Beschi; nephew, Mauro Nonato of Italy;  stepchildren, Glenda Gail Parker and Bill Jones. He is survived by his two sisters, Anna Maria Beschi and Gianna Beschi Marro both of Italy; nieces, Maria Vittoria Nalon & Luisa Baggio both of Italy; step grandchildren, Dean Jones, Cheryl Flatt, Pamela Keenum and Reginia Ferrell, Frank Smith, Mitch and Brooke Parker. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2020 from 1pm-2pm with a chapel service to follow at 2pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. John Curtain will be officiating.
