Rhonda Harbison

HARBISON, RHONDA FAYE SIMS, age 48, of Birmingham, passed away on November 13, 2008 after a two year battle with cancer. A Huffman High School graduate, Rhonda was a church secretary at Eastside Baptist Church and recently at Huffman Baptist Church. She was a faithful member of The Church at Trussville. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and a cherished friend. We will miss her laugh, her smile and the joy she brought to our hearts. Rhonda is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Ronnie Harbison; the light of her life, her son, Andrew Harbison; parents, Emory and Barbara Sims; sister, Donna (Danny) Feltman; brothers, Mark (Myra) Sims and Grant (Wendy) Sims; grandmother, Mae Pittman; mother-in-law, Peggye Harbison; father-in-law, Ronald (Ann) Harbison; brothers-in-law, Robert Harbison and Michael (Daynelle) Harbison; nieces, Danielle Sims, Evie Sims, Meaghan Sims and Olivia Harbison; nephews, David Feltman and Scott Feltman; a niece or nephew due in June; sisters-in-love, Lisa Harbison, Lisa Clem and Kelli Davis; and a host of other relatives, church members, bunco girls and beloved friends.

Special thanks to Dr. Lakhanpal and his staff and for all the calls, cards, visits, prayers and love that we have received during Rhonda's illness. Funeral service will be held on November 15, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Huffman Baptist Church with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens Trussville. Rev. Tim Henning and Dr. Tim Lovitt officiating.
