Rheubin Scott

Chuck as he was known to his friends and family was born March 1, 1956. He passed away September 9, 2016 after a long hard battle against brain cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rheubin E. Scott Jr. and Rosa Esther Hogeland. His greatest joy in life was his children and grandchildren. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Trussville. He is survived by his wife of 33 years Sue Scott, a son Christopher L. Scott, daughter Elizabeth Wilson (Brian), brother Robert M. Scott (Kay) and grandchildren Charlotte and Clara Wilson. Other survivors include nephews Jeffrey Scott (Brittany), Adam Scott (Katy), Daniel Gunn, and brothers-in-law Cecil Gunn and Charles Gunn. The family would like to thank a group of very special people for their prayers, love, and support during this difficult illness, Robert and Kay Scott, Cecil Gunn, Freda Jones, and our church family at First Presbyterian Church of Trussville. A visitation will be held on Monday, September 12, 2016 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville. The graveside committal service will follow at 1:00 pm at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East with Reverend Tom Lloyd officiating. Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
