LINDERMAN, RENATE HILDA, 79, of Gadsden, Alabama, passed away on February 27, 2010. She died peacefully in her sleep of a massive coronary. She was born in Heidelberg, Germany, September 16, 1930 of Hans and Erna Bobel. Her only sister, Marianna Bonds, resides in Anniston, Alabama. She endured her teenage years during World War II. She assisted her mother in the protection of a local Jewish merchant. Her father was conscripted in the German army. He was a prisoner of war in Siberia, though none of his family knew he was alive until 1949. She married U.S. Army veteran, Leamon Lee Linderman, August 29, 1953, in Heidelberg. They moved to Alabama in 1954. She is survived by her husband and children, Elke Stewart of Manford, OK, and Albert Linderman of St. Paul, MN, and grandchildren, Joe Carter, Laura Linderman, and Lee Linderman. Graveside service for family members will be held at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, Trussville, AL, on Monday, March 1, 2010 at 11:00 AM. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
