Raymond A. Busler, Jr.Aug. 3, 1925-Oct. 19, 2013Mr. Raymond A. Busler, Jr., age 88 of Trussville died Saturday, October 19, 2013 at St. Vincent's St. Clair in Pell City, AL. Mr. Busler was a retired employee of Hayes/Pemco after more than 41 years of service as a metallurgist. Mr. Busler loved to build and restore machinery. He built the landing craft on which he arrived in Europe during WWII and he worked on the first and subsequent NASA Moon Landing Mission Vehicles. He loved his family, fellow workers and friends and Alabama Football. He was a member of Deerfoot Parkway Baptist and a WWII Veteran where he served in Italy with the 5th Army. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Martha "Peggy" Busler and his daughter, Vickie Lynn Wells and his brother, Rex Allen Busler. Survivors are two sons; Raymond Busler III (Patsy) and Roy A. Busler, Sr. (Melissa) all of Trussville; six grandchildren, Nicolas Wells, Ryan Wells, Thomas Wells, Roy Alan Busler, Jr., Amber Busler Donlan and Katie Busler. Five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, October 21, 2013 from 6pm until 8 pm. Burial will follow Tuesday after funeral services at Forest Hill Cemetery with Jefferson Memorial Chapel Trussville directing.
