Rachel Bolin

Rachel went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Dec 8, 2017. It was a glorious, rare, snowy morning. She is predeceased by her parents, George and Nancy Skelton and her beloved husband of over 53 years, James D. Bolin. She leaves behind two children, Lynn Bolin and Randy Bolin as well as her precious Grandson, Eric Gay and his wife, Jamie. Also survived by sisters, Wanda Ingram and Betty Benson and brother, Leon Bolin. She also leaves behind dear friends, cousins and very special nieces and nephews. Rachel had a God given talent for the piano, and played in her home churches as a teenager and as adult. Rachel had a career in the legal profession for over 30 years, having culminated at the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama. She served the court in both Birmingham and Huntsville. Rachel loved her family, her friends, and she loved her life. She will be remembered for her determination, perseverance, humor and generosity. We have the comfort and peace of knowing that she is in Heaven, and we will see her again. Services will be on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 12 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be an hour prior to services. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East.
