Philis Gamble

Philis E. Gamble, 91, of Alabaster, Al passed away Thursday October 24, 2013. The family will greet friends from 10 a.m. To 11 a.m. On Monday October 28, 2013 at First United Methodist Church of Alabaster, 10903 Highway 119, immediately followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Jefferson Memorial in Trussville, AL. Phil was born April 29, 1922 and was a Navy veteran. He was the owner of Gamble Furniture in Alabaster. He was a member of the Buck Creek Masonic Lodge #410, where he recently received his 60 year pin. He was an active member of First United Methodist Church and always ready with a warm welcome. Phil was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Gamble; two brothers, Wilburn and Billy T Gamble. He is survived by his daughters, Carol Gamble and Barbara McLean (Hal); close friend, Eloise Deavours; grandchildren, Jenn Hooten (Jon), Molly Barnes (Timothy), and Peter McLean; brother Rupert Gamble and sister Myrtlene Mize.
