Peggy Skelton

Mrs. Peggy A. Skelton, age 83, of Braselton, GA and formerly of Birmingham, AL passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2015. Her husband, Donald Skelton, and brother, David Austin, precede her in death. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Paula Skelton, Madison, MS; daughter Lynn Sazera of Flowery Branch, GA; sister Shelley Woodfin of Millbrook, AL; five grandchildren, Brandon and Jennifer Skelton, Whitney and Seth Little, Heath Skelton, Leslie and Brandon Brigman, and Jill Sazera; six great grandchildren, Tucker Skelton, Adleigh Skelton, Alden Little, Hudson Little, Anna Clayton Little, and Camille Brigman; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mrs. Skelton was born July 4, 1932 in Birmingham, Alabama. She was a 1950 graduate of Phillips High School in Birmingham, AL. She was a retired secretary from the Finance Department of Jefferson County. Mrs. Skelton was a member of Northpark Baptist Church in Trussville, AL. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 4, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home and Gardens, 1591 Gadsden Highway, Birmingham AL 35235 with Rev. Tommy Woodfin officiating. Interment will follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Birmingham, AL. The family will receive friends at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home and Gardens on Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Kathy Stone and the staff of the Olive Branch in Braselton, GA for the wonderful care they gave to our mother.
