Peggy Mitchell

Mrs. Peggy Lane Mitchell, 81, passed away on September 10, 2016. She was born on February 28, 1935 to the late Frank and Evie Lane. Mrs. Mitchell was a supervisor at L.M. Berry Company for 20 years and was a devoted member of South Roebuck Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Frank Roland Lane II, and sisters, Alta Smith and Kristin MacMillian. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, H. Jack Mitchell, son, Chris Mitchell (Whitney), sister, Jo Ann Vaughn, granddaughter, Lane Mitchell and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2016 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will immediately follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East in Trussville. Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
