Peggy Lovvorn

On August 15, 2008, Jean Armstrong Lovvorn left this earth all too soon at age 61. She leaves behind her beloved husband of 39 years, Michael Lovvorn, two adoring daughters, Tanya (Robert) Sloane and Christie Lovvorn, and a faithful mother-in-law Marie Lovvorn. Many other relatives and friends will miss her joyful presence including special friends Clem and Tammy Weaver, Lisa Vallely, Natasha Blair and Andrea Tucker. A graduate of Birmingham Baptist School of Nursing and the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Jean loved both learning and teaching. For 30 years, Jean faithfully served the Lord as a Sunday School teacher and often taught seminars in local churches. We express our gratitude to our Heavenly Father for her life, her love, and His mercy. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 18, 2008 from 12:30 - 2:30 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Graveside services will begin at 3PM in First Baptist Church Chalkville Cemetery with Chaplain Steve Sweatt officiating. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
