Peggy Joan Hardin

Peggy Joan Hardin, age 81, passed away on March 21, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents Wilson Clinton Bell and Hilda Christine Bell. Joan retired from The City of Birmingham Building and Inspections Department. She also worked for many years at the Red Mountain Museum. She enjoyed taking her art classes and doing art. She also loved bowling and was a member of a league for 25 years. Joan also enjoyed the dance classes and monthly dances she attended at the senior center. She was a former member of the Southern Two Steppers. Joan also loved being a member of the Parrot Head Club.

She is survived by her children Joanna (Jay) Stokes and James Rodney Wiggins; three grandchildren, Jason (Stephanie) Stokes, Jesse (Ashley) Stokes, Jared Stokes; three great-grandchildren, Makenzie Stephens, Jackson Stokes and Jase Stokes.

Visitation will be on Thursday, March 27, 2025, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. There will be a service at 2:00 PM at the funeral home with burial to follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
