Peggy Hide

Peggy Lynette Taylor Hide passed away peacefully in the presence of family and God on May 30th, 2017 in Birmingham, AL at the age of 82. Peggy is survived by her husband Allen Newman Hide, brother Don Taylor (Pam), daughter Karen Buttler (John) and grandchildren Matthew (Molly) and Rebecca; her son David Hide (Beth) and grandchildren Taylor and his fiancAC. Samantha and Evan. Peggy, also known as Nana by her grandchildren, was an active member of South Highland Presbyterian Church. She previously was an active member and served as secretary for Avondale Presbyterian Church and maintained many friendships with previous church and choir members. She was a faithful friend for many years to her childhood friends from Eastlake. Peggy enjoyed gardening in her yard, was an admirer of theater and local art, and was an active participant in her children and grandchildren's lives, which brought her great joy. A funeral is scheduled for Saturday, June 3 at 2pm in the chapel with visitation from 5pm until 7pm Friday.
