Peggy Martin Graham, age 88 of Birmingham, AL passed away on Saturday December 12, 2015. Peggy was a graduate of Phillips High School. After graduating she worked as an administrative secretary at Standard Brands. After marrying and starting a family she decided to take time off work and spend her days being a devoted mother and wife. After her children were grown she became an executive secretary for the Birmingham Credit Union until she retired. Peggy was a faithful member of Huffman Church of Christ. Peggy enjoyed cooking, socializing with her church family and friends and spending time with her family. She was an avid Alabama football fan and one of her fondest memories as a young adult was taking the train to New Orleans to watch Alabama play in the 1945 Sugar Bowl. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Carlos O. Graham; her parents, Clarence and Grace Martin and one brother, Jerry Martin. Peggy is survived by her: son, Marty Graham and his wife, Mary Kay Graham; daughter, Susan Caryl Reymann and her husband, John J. Reymann; sister, Annette Mixon; brothers, Gene Martin and Donald Martin; grandchildren, Justin Morrow and his wife Peres, Ryan and his wife, Savanna, Kelsey, and Molly Graham, and one great granddaughter, Julianna Morrow and numerous nieces and nephews. The funeral service for Peggy will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at Jefferson Memorial Chapel in Trussville; burial will immediately follow. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Steve Murrell is officiating. The family would like to give a special "thanks" to the caring staff of TLC Nursing Center in Oneonta and Southern Care Hospice for all the special care that was shown to Peggy Martin Graham.
