Patsy Wilbanks

Patsy Ruth Wright Wilbanks was born to Ronald and Mary Lou Glenn Wright on June 22, 1941. She graduated from the University of Alabama and then obtained her Master's degree from UAB, where she also belonged to the Education Honor Group. She taught school in Mobile, Anniston, Birmingham, and Moody. She retired in 2003. In retirement, she volunteered at St. Vincent's East hospital and also at Trussville First United Methodist Church. She also helped organize the Moody Garden Club. She loved caring for her four beautiful grandchildren. She attended Hilldale Baptist Church and, more recently, Trussville First United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, Donald Ray Wilbanks, her 2 sons Ronald Brian (Andi) Wilbanks and Michael (Amanda) Wilbanks, and 4 grandchildren, Taylor, Samuel, John Daniel, and Ella Kate Wilbanks, all of Birmingham. She has a sister Mary Elizabeth Wright (John) Duren of Murphreesboro, TN, and brother Thomas Glenn Wright (Regina) of Decatur, AL, along with many nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at 6:00pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5-6pm on Wednesday. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 24, 2015 at 10:00am at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. In addition to flowers, memorials may be sent to Trussville First United Methodist Church (building program), Sumatanga Methodist Camp, and the Girls' Ranch
