Ouida Cunningham

Ouida Faye Cunningham went to be with the Lord on February 8, 2015. Ouida grew up in Tarrant, where she began her career as a real estate saleswoman and broker. Along the way, she always pursued her passion - GOLF. Ouida was the recipient of the 1995 AGA Sadie Roberts Award, finalist in the 1978 and 1977 Women's State Amateur, 2003 Ladies' Birmingham Golf Association Award, several VCC Ladies' Club Championships and numerous other golf recognitions. She will be missed by all those who knew her, and especially by the Game. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Joyce Thompson and Claudette Self. She is survived by her son, William Cunningham, Jr.; her daughter, Tracy Phillips (Robert); her sister, Susan Sewell; her brothers, Henderson Tingle and James Tingle; 4 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members and friends. Graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at 12:00pm at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East, with Rev. Jim Auchmuty officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the graveside service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Girls Golf - LPGA Foundation (www. girlsgolf.org/donate) or the American Lung Association (www.lung.org/donate).
