Olene Parker

Olene Parker, 78, passed away on March 10, 2022, in Columbus, Ga.

Olene Parker was born on September 25, 1943 in Cullman, AL, to Alex and Lizzie Speegle.

Olene graduated from Woodlawn in 1961 and went on to earn an Associates Degree from business school in 1963. She started her career as a Bookkeeper and went on to work for 50+ years for Jemison Reality.

Olene is survived by son- Frank (Kim) Spain, three grandchildren Madison, Tai and Sydney, sister- Sue (Larry) Kilgore and many much loved nieces and nephews.

Olene is preceded in death by Alex Speegle - father, Lizzie Speegle - mother, Larry Parker - spouse, Wendell (Wilma) Speegle - brother, Melvin Speegle - brother, Betty (Charles) Howard - sister, Ginny Hagood - sister

In the last couple of years Olene lived in a memory care facility (Brookdale) in Columbus, Ga due to onset dementia. We are so thankful for her care takers.

The service for Olene Parker will be held on Thursday, at 2:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation: Thursday, at 1:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home.

Burial: Jefferson Memorial Gardens East, Birmingham, AL.

Memorial donations can be made in Olene's name to Alzheimer's Association.
