Odessa Weems, age 97, of Birmingham passed away October 25, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband Hubert Weems, and son Hubert "Bug" Weems Jr. Chapel services will be held on Monday, Oct 27, at 2pm with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 1pm until 2pm Monday. She is survived by her sister Waudine Layfield, children Carolyn Hallmark, Melvin Weems (Dean), Mary Byess (Nelson), Larry Weems (Wanda), 10 grandkids, 17 great grandchildren, 11 great great grandchildren. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
