Born in Ensley, AL to Idene Granger and Henry J. Charles. A graduate of Ensley High School she spent most of her career in the insurance industry. She loved making and gifting quilts. Predeceased by parents, husband Kenneth R. May Sr, brother William S. McGaughy, niece/nephew Thersa and William S. McGaughy Survived by children Mark A. (Karen) May, Kenneth R. May Jr, Timothy S. May, Christy M Smith; grandchildren Mark May, Preston May, Scott (Jessica) Longmire, Sherry (Jesse) Sewell; greatgrandchildren Drake Hammon, Averie Longmire; sisters Marjorie Dudley, Mollie (Walt) Pawlik; nieces/nephews Kathy, Ricky, Bobby, Kim, Joey, Ginny. Interment Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
