Norma Grissom

GRISSOM, NORMA JEAN age 77, of Birmingham, passed away on June 16, 2012. She was a member of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Grissom was a professional seamstress who specialized in cheerleading and majorette uniforms for local schools and parks. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Lillian Sheets Countiss, and her sister, Joyce Pate. Survivors include her loving husband of 57 years, William C. Grissom, Sr.; children, Bill Grissom (Terry), David Grissom, and Karen Love (David); grandchildren, Jessica Fortenberry (Scott), Matthew Grissom and Alex Love; great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Landon and Addie Fortenberry; sister, Janice Jones (David), brother-in-law, Hagar Pate; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. The family would like to express their thanks to Becky Smith Grissom for her loving support. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 20 from 11:00AM - 1:00PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. The funeral will begin at 1:00PM in the chapel. Burial will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
