Nina Haynes Briggs

Nina Haynes Briggs, age 67 of Springville, AL passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2014 at her home in Springville. She was a member of Cornerstone Church of God in Pinson for several years until her fading health no longer permitted her to attend. She was employed by Continuous Care Services as a staff coordinator for over 20 years before retiring. She enjoyed gardening and traveling to Gatlinburg with family, but most of all loved spending time with her beloved grandchildren. Nina was preceded in death by her loving husband, James D. Briggs, Sr. Nina is survived by her daughter, Kristina Holley; her son, James D. Briggs, Jr. and his wife, Kelli Briggs; four grandchildren: Hannah Holley, Colby Briggs, Will Briggs and Jacob Burgin; three sisters and three brothers; her beloved pets, Sam and Squirt. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 31st at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with burial immediately following at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Jefferson Memorial in Trussville is directing.
