Neva Ruth Cooper Shotts, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her, passed away August 11, 2009 at the age of 79 at her home in Birmingham. She was a member of Huffman Baptist Church where she was a member of the choir and previously a kindergarten and Sunday school teacher. She was an artist and a member of PACE. She enjoyed playing the piano and was a member of Palladium Literary Club. Services will be Friday Aug. 14, at 2:00 pm in the Chapel with Bro. Larry Smith and Bro. Ron Bell officiating. Burial will follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years Billy Shotts, daughters Sharon Denise Ferguson (Neal) of Irondale, AL, and Lisa Wilson (Stephen) of Madison, AL. sister, Marietta Bigler (Hal) of Champaign, IL, 3 grandchildren, Candice Turner of Graysville, AL, Brett Wilson of Madison, AL, and Wayne Wilson of Madison, AL, and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
