Nellie Smith

Nellie Jo Watson Smith went to Heaven on January 25, 2018. Nellie was born on October 10, 1948 to Agnes and Hershel Watson. She married Milton C. Smith, Jr. on August 10, 1974. They had three wonderful sons together during their 43 years of marriage: Jason Charles, David Colton and Michael Clayton. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Mickie Watson Ellis and her beloved son Jason Charles Smith. She is survived by her husband Milton C. Smith Jr., sons David and Michael, a brother James Michael Watson, her four-legged grand-dog J.D., as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and more friends than one could count. Nellie was recently retired from Avis Rental Car as manager of the Trussville location. She had worked in the rental car business for close to 50 years. Nellie never met a stranger and loved people and life. Her beautiful smile and laugh was infectious. She loved her family deeply and was very proud of them. She enjoyed anything Elvis and Alabama football. Nellie will be missed by all who were blessed to have known her. Graveside services will be held on Monday, Jan 29 at 1pm with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Visitation from 5pm until 7pm Sunday.
