Nathan Vernon

Nathan M Vernon, a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away on March 23, 2012 at the age of 73. He was loved dearly and will be missed by all who knew him. He was a member of Pinson Valley Baptist Church. Mr. Vernon retired from Winn Dixie as market manager with almost 50 years of service. He was preceded in death by his son, Nathan Wayne Vernon. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Juan Vernon; son, Mike Vernon (Carla); sister, Martha Moreland; grandchildren, Michael & Shelby Vernon; and numerous family and friends. Visitation will be Monday evening from 6 - 8PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Jefferson Memorial on Tuesday at 2:00PM; burial will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Brothers Benny Gable and Virgil Cheshire will officiate the services.
