Nancy Baugher

Nancy Carolyn Thompson Baugher, 73 passed peacefully at 9pm on Sunday, January 23, 2022.

She was widowed by Ken Baugher . She is preceded in death by her parents Aubrey and Grace Thompson both of Birmingham.

She is survived by her sister: Sara Ray of Oxford, Al, brother: Charles (Sue) Thompson of Trussville, Al, son: David (Phyllis) Killian of Trussville, Al, daughter: Lori Schroeder of Birmingham, Al, son: Kevin (Tonya) Schroeder of Owens Cross Roads.

Grandchildren: Christopher Killian, Makayla Killian, Kimberly Killian, Matthew (Emily) Schroeder, Ryan Schroeder and Samuel Schroeder and

Great grandson: Miles Schroeder.

Stepchildren: Theresa Dubose, Vince (Tessy) Baugher, Nettie (Eric) Johnson, Angie (Tom) Baugher, Foobie Shayeb

Step Grandchildren: Nabil Baugher, Tajallii Baugher, Vahid Baugher, Lilah Travis, Morgan Johnson, Kenya Baugher, Shahnaz Baugher, Osama Shayeb, Layla Shayeb, Yasmeen Shayeb, Sami Shayeb.

And last but not least her beloved cat, Sasha.

Nancy was born on January 26, 1948 in Gadsden, Alabama to Aubrey and Grace Thompson. She graduated from Alabama Southern College late in life with a degree in Office Management. Nancy was a loving and generous person. She was also dedicated to her children, grandchildren and great grandchild. Nancy loved life and was accomplished at singing and painting. She also enjoyed bowling and was in a bowling league.  Nancy was an active and dedicated member of the Baha’i Faith and often hosted study groups at her home. Nancy also went on pilgrimage to the Baha’i World Center in Haifa Israel in 2005.

Funeral service scheduled for Monday, January 31, 2022 at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home and Gardens in Trussville, Alabama. Visitation is set for 11am with the service to follow at Noon.
