Myrtle Lake

Myrtle R. Lake, age 85 of Moody, AL passed away on January 17, 2017. She was a member of New Life Baptist Church, Odenville, AL. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur James Newkirk and Lena Mae Newkirk, brother, A.J. Newkirk, Jr. and her husband, Jackie O. Lake. She is survived by her children, Debra Parsons (Steve), Carol Phillips (David) and Ronald J. Lake (Annette); grandchildren, Kelli Lancaster (Justin), Patrick Lake (Mary), Abbey Phillips Freeman (Morgan) and Scott Phillips; great grandchildren, Riley Lake, Eric Lake, Meagan Lake and Jade Lancaster. Visitation will be on Friday, January 20, 2017 from 10 AM to 12 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Services will begin at 12 PM in the chapel. The burial will follow at Forest Crest Cemetery. Pastor Norman LeCroy and Pastor Denny LeCroy will be officiating over the services. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to New Life Baptist Church, Odenville, AL.
