Myrna Estep

Myrna Hatfield Estep, age 81, of Odenville, previously of Trussville, died April 6, 2015. Myrna was a long-time member of First United Methodist Church of Trussville where she especially enjoyed the Friendship Sunday School class. She was preceded in death by her parents, Weston and Ruby Hatfield; husband, James A. Estep; grandson, Jacob Spitzer; granddaughter, Melissa Peck; brother, James Hatfield; sister-in-law, Genevieve Hatfield; and brother-in-law, Charles Woodyard. She is survived by her children, Sherry Staggs (Donald), Vickie Peck (Ralph), Lawrence Estep (Paula); brothers, Russell Hatfield (Nona) and Terrell Hatfield (Gail); sister, Carolyn Woodyard; 15 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to express thanks to Alabama Home Hospice, the staff at St. Vincent's Hospital, and Alacare Hospice. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude's Hospital, Myrna's favorite charity. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at 2:00pm at Jefferson Memorial Trussville, with Rev. Phyllis Riddle officiating. Interment will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. A visitation will be from 12:30pm until the funeral hour. Jefferson Memorial Trussville is directing.
