Myrl Glenn

Myrl Marie Glenn, wife of James E. Glenn, Jr., better known as "NANNY", 85, of Panama City Beach, Florida, passed away on May 31, 2012. Prior to moving to Florida in 2007, she was a long time resident of both, Birmingham and Pell City, Alabama. Myrl was born on November 29, 1926, in Haleyville, Alabama and was the first of five children born to Curren and Nona Townsend. All of which have preceded her in death. She was a wonderful and loving Mother who devoted her entire life to her children. Her children were by her side as she drifted off to join other family and friends in heaven. Survivors include her three daughters and four sons Daughter, A. Gail Mitchell, Panama City Beach, Fl, Son, Eddie Glenn of Lincoln, Al, Son, Greg Glenn and wife Pam of Trussville, Al, Son, Davis Glenn and wife, Denise of Hoover, Al, Daughter, Daree McCay of Panama City Beach, Fl, Daughter, Teresa Norman and husband Mike, Trussville, Al, Son, Don Glenn and wife Leigh, Miramar Beach, Fl, 13 grandchildren and 7 great grand children. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville, Alabama. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 3, 2012 from 5pm- 7 pm at Jefferson Memorial. Her memorial service will be held at 12 noon on Monday, June 4, 2012 at the funeral home; burial will follow at Sulphur Springs Cemetery in Trussville, Alabama.
