Minnie Powell

Cricket Powell, age 82, of Trussville, AL, went home to be with the Lord on April 27, 2012. She was a member of the First Baptist of Church of Trussville and was a member of the Joyful Hearts group. She was loved by all and will be missed by all. Cricket was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, James C. Powell; siblings, Allen Batson, Butler Batson, Jane Carson; and granddaughter, Kim Howard. Survivors include her sons, James "Bud" Powell (Jeannie) and Mike Powell (Gayle); daughters, Sharon Owens and Wanda Kimbrough (Randy); sisters, Hazel Ellenburg (Russell) and Betty Masters (Charles); grandchildren, Bob, Courtney, Jamey, Casey, Sabrina, Shawnee and Tyler; great-grandchildren, Myranda, Dalyn, Connor, Hudson, Carson, Camden, Cooper, Miles and Isaac; as well as a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Monday, April 30 from 11AM - 12PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home with the funeral beginning at 12PM. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East.
