Mildred Whitten

Mildred Floyd Whitten, age 98, passed away Jan. 17, 2018 at Fair Haven Retirement Home where she had lived for 18 years. She is preceded in death by her husband, William S. Whitten; her son, Irl Whitten; brothers, Frank D. Floyd and Everett Floyd (Ann). She is survived by her niece, Charlotte Davey (Stanley), several great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. She was manager of Trinity Hospital gift shop for many years and when she moved to Fair Haven, she became manager of their gift shop. Since living at Fair Haven, Mildred has made many lasting friendships. Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 24, at 11 am at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. A memorial service will be held at Fair Haven Chapel at a later date.
