Mildred White

Mildred Inez White, age 92, of Springville, AL passed away December 12, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was native Eva, AL where she grew up. Mildred was born on December 19, 1928 to George and Bessie Childers. She had nine siblings. She graduated from Eva High School in 1947. She was a devoted employee to UAB Hospital for 30 years. Mildred was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Mildred was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Carlos V. White; her son, Audie V. White; her parents; daughter-in-law, Kathy S. White; three siblings.

She is survived by her daughter, Tina Burnett (Harvey “J.R.”); grandchildren, Shayna Swann (Brandon), Joshua White (Brittany) and Heather Lipscomb (Matt); five great grandchildren, Sarah Kate, Anderson, Camille, Lillian, and Madeline; her six siblings, Demaris Fortenberry, G. C. Childers, Jr., Jimmie Lou Gable, Ann Boyd, Barbra Frost, and Gayle Frost; a host of nieces and nephews.

A funeral for Mildred will be held on Thursday, December 16th at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 a.m. Friends and family will gather one hour prior to the service. Burial will immediately follow the chapel service at Jefferson Memoria’s adjoining cemetery. Pastor Rodney Davis will preside over the services.
