Mildred Delores Jarvis, 86, died in her home surrounded by her family in Centerpoint, Alabama, on Monday, October 7, 2024, after an extended battle with heart disease. Mildred was a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who was full of life, spunky, outspoken, and known for her boundless energy. She lived life to the fullest and enjoyed spending her time taking care of others and working in her beloved garden with her four-legged companions. She had a soft spot for her furry friends, treating each and everyone like the valuable family member they were. She was born in Ocala, Florida, on December 29, 1937, to Thomas and Lola Odom and later married her late husband, Robert A. Jarvis Sr. Mildred was a devoted Air Force spouse who faithfully served alongside her husband while raising their four children. Her life's work was reflected in her children, grandchildren, and close community. She is preceded in death by father Thomas Odom, mother Lola Odom, sister Amy Odom, brother Charles "Buddy" Odom; late husband, Robert A. Jarvis Sr.; and is survived by children Brenda Turbyfill, Robert A. Jarvis Jr, Robin Waters, and Michael Jarvis; grandchildren Allen Jarvis, Faith Godwin, Rabecca Murray-Roberts, Jessica and Jimmy Jarvis, David Jarvis, Elisha Bagley, Patrick Waters; great-grandchildren Elliott, Micah, and Brennan Godwin, Kinslei and Makayla Jarvis, Angelexie and Austin Roberts,Ruthann, Esther Jarvis, Jaxen Goodwin, Noah and Caleb Bagley, Nevaeh, Samuel Waters, and Emily Jarvis. Graveside services will be held at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home on Saturday, October 12, at 2:00 p.m.
