Mickael Pond

POND, MICKAEL "MIKE" KEITH, age 60, of Birmingham, AL passed away September 6, 2009 peacefully in his home. He was a graduate of Erwin High School and was a Vietnam veteran who proudly served his country in the Coast Guard on the USCG Mendota. He was honorably discharged as an E6 master sonar technician. He will be greatly missed and he will remain in our hearts forever. He is survived by his mother, Edna H. Pond of Birmingham, AL; and his father, Walter K. Pond (June) of Vista, California; brother, Timothy (Natalye); wife, Susan T. Pond; children, Michele Byars (Brian), Christina Nunez (Darin Gunter), and Keith Pond; grandchildren, Tressie and Reagan Nunez and Kayleigh Byars; nephews, Brian and Forest Pond; numerous aunts, uncles, and family members. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, September 7, 2009 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
