Mike Steele

Funeral Service for Mr. Mike Steele will be at 12:00 P.M. at Jefferson Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, Trussville, AL on Monday, October 14, 2024 with Visitation at 11:00 A.M. and service at 12 noon in the chapel with the burial to follow with Reverend Vernon F. Huguley officiating.

Michael (Mike) S. Steele, 72, was born on January 30, 1952, in Birmingham, AL to George L. Steele, Sr. and Susie (Sue) Steele. He was a native of Birmingham and attended Banks High School where he met and married his high school sweetheart, Jeanie. Mike enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. He lived an active life with many hobbies and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Mike retired from Drummond Coal Company as Manager of Contract Maintenance where he worked until 2024.

Mike is survived by his wife, Jeanie L. Steele, 3 of his sons, Christopher Steele, Randall Steele (Leanne), and Joseph Steele (JoAnn), and his brother, George L. Steele, Jr. (Connie). Grandchildren include Tyler Steele, M.J. Steele, William Steele, and Benjamin Steele.

He was preceded in death by his son Jason Allen Steele.

Christopher Steele, Randall Steele, Joseph Steele, George Steele, Jonathan Steele and Tyler Steele will serve as pallbearers.
