Michael "Mickey" Tower Cork, Sr., a lifelong resident of Birmingham and current resident of Trussville passed away at the age of 66 on Tuesday, March 17, 2015. Mickey was preceded in death by his father, Elver Dale Cork, and is survived by his mother, Eula Clay Cork, loving wife of 44 years Jeanna Verciglio Cork, daughter Beth Tully (Tim), son Michael (Misty), brother Tom Cork (Marlene) of Atlanta, sister Sandra Cork Harris (David) of Florence, brother in laws Joe Verciglio (Jan), John Verciglio (Lisa), grandchildren Nicholas and Tyler Tully, Avery and Alex Cork and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and special friends. At the time of his death, Mickey was employed by Doster Construction Company for 38 years as General Superintendent. He enjoyed outdoor sports and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He graduated from West End High School and attended Jefferson State Community College and UAB. He is retired from the Army National Guard with twenty two years of service. He attended Holy Infant of Prague Catholic Church in Trussville. The funeral will be held at Jefferson Memorial Trussville, Friday, March 20, 2015. Visitation 1pm, Chapel services begin at 2pm with graveside following. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Infant Catholic Church or to the charity of your choice.
