Melvin Gullion

Melvin E. "Bo" Gullion, age 86 of Biloxi, MS passed away on June 28, 2014. He was a former resident of Birmingham, AL. Bo received a Purple Heart after serving a three year term in the U.S Army during the Korean War. He retired from Birmingham Police Department after 25 years of service as a Homicide Detective. He was a Shriner for several years before moving away from Birmingham. Bo was the owner of the Laguna Beach Christian Retreat in Laguna Beach, FL. He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and one brother. Bo is survived by his wife, Genevieve Gullion; his son, Melvin Gullion, Jr.; one brother, and numerous nieces and nephews. The funeral for Bo will be held at 2pm on Friday, July 11th at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will immediately follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Reverend Jim McCann is officiating. Jefferson Memorial in Trussville is directing.
