Melinda Keenum

Melinda Kennum Jones, born July 4, 1984- died July 19, 2012. After a long 6 year journey Lindy went to be with her Savior and Lord. Lindy was an incredible presence on this earth. She lit up the lives of anyone who she came in contact with. She is survived by the light of her life, her son Matthew Jones and her husband of 7 years Josh Jones. She leaves behind her parents, Johnny and Cindy Keenum, mother in law Wilmette Combs, father in law Wayne Jones, brothers Drew Keenum, Eric Keenum, brother and sisters in law Jeremy Jones, Heidi Halliday, and Heather Jones, grandparents Linda Walker, Nita Keenum, Barbara Lester, Ella Jones, and her special Aunt Tricia, and a host of other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss her desperately. She also leaves behind many nurses and doctors at UAB Hospital who were part of our lives for the last 6 years. We are so grateful for the care at the HTICU. Lindy loved you all so much. She is now walking the streets of gold and heaven is a brighter place! Visitation will be on Sunday, July 22, 2012 from 5 to 7PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Services will be held on Monday July 23 at 11:00 AM at NorthPark Baptist Church. Burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Rev. Bill Wilks will be officiating over the services.
