Age 24, of Birmingham, AL passed away on May 8, 2014. Matt loved to be outdoors, he played hockey. He was very adventurous and lived everyday to the fullest "the sky is the limit." Matt lit up the room and brightened the day, he loved people his smile and hugs were so warm. He was a member of The Church at Brookhills. He was a professional mover. He is survived by his daughter, Harper Grace Matthews; parents, Dawn Gast and Owen Workman; sisters, Amanda Workman, Mia Palmer and Wren Palmer; brothers, Wesley Workman, Zachary Gast and Garrett Palmer; grandparents, Evelyn and Charles Leonard, Ken Gannaway, Susan Owen and Bob Workman. A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 12, 2014 at 12:00pm at Jefferson Memorial Chapel. Family will receive friends from 11am until service time. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
