Matthew Cunningham

Matthew Cunningham passed away peacefully on September 8, 2021 surrounded by his loving family.

Matthew was preceded in death by his father: Ricky Cunningham, paw-paw: Frank Funderburg, grandmother: Lora Addy, and his dearest aunt and uncle: Peggy Cunningham and Jim Reddinger.

Left to grieve Matthew’s passing are: his mom: Joyce Cunningham, step-dad: Mike Whitfield, sister: Katie Whitfield, maw-maw: Gloria Smith, and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends

Despite his disabilities, Matthew lived life to the fullest and loved deeply. He was always eager to serve his community. He attended the ARC of St. Clair County day center where he made many lasting memories. Matthew was not only a founding member of the Moody Miracle League but also a founding member of the MCA Kiwanis Aktion Club.

Most dear to him was his love for Jesus, his church, and church family. He was honored to be the door greeter for FBC Moody. He attended the Exceptionally His ministry and Joy Club to share his love of the Lord with others.

Matthew enjoyed talking to his friends and family every night on the phone, going to car shows with his step-dad Mike, and playing video games with his sister Katie.
