Marzee Owen

Marzee Owen died on August 13, 2016 at the age of 92. She was the daughter of the late Porter C. and Desma Murphree. She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Boyd Owen, and infant son Robert Lee Owen. She is survived by daughters Linda Hester and Wanda (Phillip) Wilkerson, grandsons Chris (Shannon) Lakey and Jeff (Tina) Lakey, five beloved great granddaughters and brothers Bernie (Doris) Murphree, Charles (Martha) Murphree and E.C. Murphree. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Trussville and the Character Builders Sunday School Class and a former member of Lake Highlands United Methodist Church. Visitation will be at the First United Methodist Church of Trussville on August 15, 2016 at 10am followed by the funeral service at 11am. Burial will be at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully suggests memorials to the Capital Fund of the First United Methodist Church of Trussville. Romans 8:38-39.
