Mary Wolfe

Mary Helen Wolfe, age 91, of Somerville, formerly of Birmingham, passed away September 22, 2009. She was the daughter of Spurgeon M. and Mary Virginia Lyons. She was a longtime member of South Roebuck Baptist Church. Her and her husband owned Wolfe Food Center in Eastlake, and was a volunteer with East End Memorial Hospital with 11000 hours of service; she also was the past president of the Volunteer Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband Emuel, brother Arthur Lyons, grandchildren Debbie Champagne and Brad Wolfe. Services will be Saturday Sept 26, at 10am in the Chapel with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Visitation will be one hour before service time. She is survived by her daughter Elaine (Fred) Thompson, son Robert D. (Nancy) Wolfe, brother Robert Lyons, 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 2 great- great grandchildren.
