Mary Urbanek

Funeral services for Penny Urbanek will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2020, at McElwain Baptist Church with visitation at 10:00 a.m. and funeral at 11:00 a.m.

Penny was survived by her husband, Mike Urbanek, daughter, Caroline Urbanek, step daughter, Katie Masoor, mother, Mary Wilhite, sisters, Martha Hilley, Katie Powell, Ruth Wilhite, nieces Rachel Hilley, Isabella Powell, nephews Joe Abuhakmeh, Alex Hilley, and David Powell.

Penny was a graduate of Woodlawn High School in 1976, then graduated from Samford University in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science in Education and English.

Penny worked for many years at Protective Life Corporation as Senior Licensing administrator , and Securities manager. For the last several years, Penny worked for the Dannon Project in Human Resources Management.

Penny was a member of Riverchase Baptist Church where she served as part time pianist and organist.

Penny also attended services with her family at St. Francis Xavier Church.
