Mary Tuck

Mary Louise Hosey Tuck passed away on July 10, 2014 at the age of 91 in Birmingham, AL. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Jimmy Tuck, her mother and father, Lizzy and Cecil Hosey, her brother, Henry Hosey, her two sisters, Lorena Butler and Edna Stafford. She is survived by one brother, Charles Hosey (Virginia) of Kahatcheee, five nieces, Jennifer Maddox (Bruce), Karen Tubbs (Johnny), Lori Slay (Rusty), Elizabeth Lawson (Stephen) and Gail Thompson, two nephews, Charles Stafford and Earnest Butler (Shirley), and a host of great nieces and nephews. Mrs. Tuck was much loved by her family and everyone who knew her. She was a Methodist by faith. She was born and raised in Marble Valley but lived most of her life in Roebuck and Trussville. Mrs. Tuck retired from Liberty National Insurance Company, but was also a registered nurse. She loved to sew and said the most fun job she ever had was teaching sewing. She was a kind and caring person and an inspiration to all who knew her. Services will be on Monday, July 14, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be an hour prior to services. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Martin Ray will be officiating over the services. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
