Mary Ritch

Mary H. Ritch, affectionately known as, Maw-maw to her loving grandchildren, passed away on January 30, 2021. She was a native of Birmingham, AL where she has resided most of her life. She graduated from Ramsay High School and retired from Palmer & Lawrence Inc at the age of 86. She was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Church, now known as, Brook Highland Community Church where she volunteered in the nursery for over 45 years. She was a devoted Alabama foot ball fan. She enjoyed time with her family and never passed up the opportunity to cook for them. The funeral for Mary will be held at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville on February 6, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. with visitation held two hours prior. Burial will immediately follow the chapel service at Jefferson Memorial’s adjoining cemetery. Her son, Jeff A. Ritch will be officiating. Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband, Talmadge Ritch; her two sisters, Peggy Abts and Maxine Salmon. She is survived by her children, Kim Gaddy (Ray) and Jeff Ritch (Stephanie); grandchildren, Nicholas Shea Davis, Chris Ritch (Alicia), Tamra Siefker (Anthony), Dakota Foster and Noah Foster; great grandchildren, Haley Shea, Daisy Ann, and Anna Rose and great-great granddaughter, Ava Shea; her brother, George Haynes (Karen); sisters, Billie Daniel and Daisy Parvin (Pete).
