Mary Jean Nance

Mary Jean Nance, age 83, of Ashville, AL passed away on January 29, 2020. She was born in Ironton, Ohio to James and Dora Gunnoe on December 12, 1936. She was a graduate of Coal Grove high School class of 1956. She worked as a Telephone operator when she was younger and later in years a P.E. teacher. She also served as a Camp Fire Girls Troop Leader. She was a devoted Christian who loved her family dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents James and Dora Gunnoe. Mrs. Nance is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Edward Nance; her children, Tina Nance, Barry Nance (Tracey) and Cheryl Sharp (Steve); her eight grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. A graveside service for Mrs. Nance will be held at 2PM at the Abbey Mausoleum at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East in Trussville on Saturday, February 1st.
